American Airlines is rolling out its popular Pecan Lodge barbecue preorder option to first-class passengers on every domestic meal flight departing from Dallas - Fort Worth (DFW). The move, announced on Friday, expands a pilot program that initially offered the Texas-style fare on select routes.
First-class travelers on qualifying flights can now preorder dishes such as brisket and ribs, prepared by the renowned Dallas barbecue joint. The airline said the expansion reflects strong customer demand and its commitment to showcasing local cuisine.
The new menu option is available for booking starting this month, with service beginning in August 2026. American Airlines noted that the barbecue meals will be served on flights longer than 900 miles, ensuring ample time for the full dining experience.
